Gosforth urban garden

This large front garden in Gosforth was updated to compliment the house facade. A large imposing formal lawn is framed by grey clay pavers and a new terrace features two generous seating areas, planting beds and a cortes water feature.

A woodland garden with curvy paths occupies the shady side of the garden with a horseshoe shaped wildlife pond surrounded by Hostas, Ferns and Astilbe.

The planting scheme is colourful with year round interest, several existing Acers have been repositioned and a clever drainage system terminates in two ‘swale gardens’ occupying mesic plants that can cope with dry and wet conditions.
